Airsled has officially launched its next-generation Appliance Dolly AD500, delivering meaningful safety, durability, and usability improvements over the previous AD450 model. Designed for professional appliance installers and service technicians, the AD500 reflects Airsled’s continued focus on safer, smarter material-handling solutions for the field .

The AD500 builds on the proven foundation of the AD450 while introducing a comprehensive set of design enhancements aimed at reducing risk, improving control, and increasing overall jobsite efficiency. Despite weighing just 27 pounds, the new dolly increases its load capacity from 450 lbs. to 500 lbs., offering greater performance without added bulk .

Key Improvements Include:

  • A semi-fixed top beam for easier grabbing and carrying

  • Clevis pin safety stoppers positioned every 3 inches on the legs to eliminate load slippage risk

  • An improved clamp with integrated threading

  • A safety lock bar now included as a standard component

  • Heavier-duty double casters on fixed legs and a braked double caster on rotating legs for enhanced stability

  • A shorter caster plate with vinyl bumper strips to protect cabinets and toe kicks from scuffing

  • Multiple assembly options with included butterfly and hex nuts

  • A bead-blasted galvanized finish for improved durability

  • A specialty tightening tool included with each unit 

To support proper use in the field, Airsled has also released new overview and how-to videos demonstrating the AD500 in real-world applications, including use with a Viking double wall oven .
